Meet Wendy Carpenter, our Griffiss Institute Intern Project Team Lead! Since joining us in 2022, Wendy has been instrumental in shaping many of our summer programs, including the Advanced Course in Engineering (ACE) and the RI Internships.
Wendy is passionate about working with the “amazingly brilliant next generation of technical leaders” and finds joy in guiding each intern’s journey. According to her, “Every moment with the interns is a standout . . . because they teach [her] something new every time [they] connect.” She loves how the GI’s open and engaging environment actively encourages students to explore future technologies and their personal and professional development. From daily creative challenges to exciting events like tech talks, networking opportunities, and – especially – the annual Intern Poster Symposium, there is always something around the corner that will help make each student the best they can be!
Wondering where to wander to for adventures? Wendy’s favorite place for boating and kayaking is at Hinckley Reservoir and the Great Lakes. The true and most beautiful Mohawk Valley experience can be found in the height of the Adirondacks.
