Griffiss Institute Partners with Amazon to Provide Free AWS Services to Startup Companies

Rome, NY – Griffiss Institute President & CEO Heather Hage today announced that the Innovare Advancement Center, the 150,000 square foot open innovation hub on their Rome, New York campus, is now an AWS Activate Provider. Through this new partnership with Amazon, the Griffiss Institute can now provide startups engaging at Innovare with free Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits, technical support, training, resources, and more.

“The Griffiss Institute is laser-focused on developing the next generation of talent and technology,” said Hage. “Amazon’s partnership to provide AWS tools to startups using our services and facilities is an incredible opportunity to help these businesses grow and be competitive in the marketplace by leveraging cutting edge digital infrastructure.”

Startup companies associated with Innovare will be empowered with cloud computing resources from AWS to help them innovate and grow. They will have access to the resources they need to quickly get started on AWS – including tailored guidance, education, and resources based on their unique startup profile, as well as go-to-market support and exclusive offers.

Enrolled builders will also be able to take advantage of personalized recommendations and guided pathways to technical training, mentorship, customer growth opportunities, pre-built infrastructure templates, and other resources.

The new partnership with Amazon aligns with the Griffiss Institute’s launch of the first-ever cohort of the HUSTLE Defense Accelerator – an immersive 12-week training academy for seed-stage startups developing artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, quantum science, unmanned aircraft system solutions, and more. Participating startup leaders will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills in running a business and will be provided with daily education and mentoring through a group of highly talented professionals. In addition, participants can partake in a track unique to the HUSTLE accelerator, where they will learn how to work with government, opening the door to countless opportunities for their small businesses to grow.
