At Griffiss Institute, we oversee an assortment of internships opportunities across the country. These include internships through NORDTECH, NEATEC, the NSF Engine, and P3I Hawaii.
NORDTECH Summer Internship
This program provides students with hands-on experience in cutting-edge research and technology development. Interns work alongside leading experts, solving real-world challenges in defense, semiconductor, microelectronics, and emerging technologies.
NEATEC Community College Internship
NEATEC, a joint NY CREATES and SUNY program funded by the National Science Foundation, offers community college students hands-on workforce training opportunities in the semiconductor and nanotechnology industries. Through partnerships with colleges, universities, and industry, NEATEC provides curricula, professional development, and experiences like internships and co-ops to prepare students for high-tech careers across New York and Western New England.
NSF Upstate NY Energy Engine Internship
The Undergraduate Research Program offers a 10-week, stipend-paid research experience at one of our partner universities.
The Industrial Internship provides a 10-week, hourly paid opportunity with one of our NSF industry partners, giving students hands-on experience in real-world applications of their studies.
P3I Hawaii Internships
P3I Hawaii connects college students to a range of defense and technology-focused opportunities, including paid internships, fellowships, and research experiences with organizations like NSA, Booz Allen Hamilton, INDOPACOM, and the Department of War. These programs offer hands-on learning, mentorship, and pathways to careers in national security, engineering, and cybersecurity.
