Safety and Security Operations Manager
The Safety and Security Operations Manager is responsible for implementing the Griffiss Institute’s (GI) safety and security programs and ensuring company and customer safety and security requirements are met. This position has 2 focus areas. The first is the Griffiss Institute facility within the Innovare Advancement Center, its employees, and guests who work or visit the facility. The main responsibilities are to ensure that all required safety and security policies and procedures are in place and enforced, covering the physical facility of the GI, along with its employees and guests. The second is to oversee the GI’s Facility Clearance Level required by our federal contracts and serve in the role of the Facility Security Officer (FSO), ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides, along with managing employee security clearances.
